Description

Modified CTR which has an additional fixation eyelet that allows it to be sutured to the scleral wall without piercing the capsular bag used in cases where a standard CTR may not provide adequate centration and stability.

Capsular tension ring is a highly flexible clear PMMA ring of haptic thickness 0.20 mm.

• It is used to stabilize and recentre the capsular bag
• Specially designed for scleral fixation with sutures through eyelets in a cataract surgery
• The eyelet is projecting anteriorly which allows it to sit outside the capsular bag
• A double eyelet design is also available for cases which require additional support

Indications:

• Cases with extreme zonular weakness
• Cases with missing zonules larger than 4 clock hours
• Lens Subluxation
